Forging Machine Service Call

Bêché (DG80)

Customer reported  oil leaking from one of the coupling on a new counterblow machine.

It was determined that some of the oil that was present on the uprights (splattered) and in the pit was coming for the lower tup.  The below photos show the presence of this oil on the edge of the lower tup.  This oil is lubrication oil from the upper way draining down and landing of the lower tup.  The couplings were both checked and found to be free of leaks.  The machine went back into production.
